Episode 58: Finding Community

Amplified Oklahoma Show Notes

April 16, 2021

Going to college is often described as a time of making new friends and experiencing new things. But how do you find people that share common interests or will be accepting? For many LGBTQ+ students at OSU, Oklahoma State Queers and Allies, OSQ&A for short, is a good place to start. This month on Amplified Oklahoma, we explore the history of the OSQ&A student organization, the evolution and reasons behind its many name changes, and the community that it has helped build. We’ll also talk with OSQ&A’s current historian, Lando D. about what OSQ&A looks like today.
