Episode 51: Home under the Big Top

Amplified Oklahoma Show Notes

August 21, 2020

What is home? It seems like a simple question, but it can mean many different things depending on who you are. For people in the circus industry who travel around the country to perform for months at a time, the concept of home can be more complicated. This month on Amplified Oklahoma, we are exploring the lives of the circus performers of Hugo, Oklahoma as they describe the different shapes, sizes, and ideas of what home means to them. We'll also hear from Dr. Rebecca Sheehan, a professor in the OSU Geography Department whose works focus on historical phenomena, place, and identity.
