Episode 46: MeetCute: Love Stories from OSU's LGBTQ+ Community
Amplified Oklahoma Show Notes
March 20, 2020
Show Notes
Love is an intrinsic part of the human condition. All of us love and seek to be loved in return. Often, we don’t always choose who we love, it just simply happens. This month on Amplified Oklahoma, we're exploring the stories of LGBTQ+ Oklahomans who found love even when it was hard to do so, even as societal attitudes toward non-heteronormative sexualities and non-cisgender identities have grown more accepting. We’ll hear stories from individuals from the OSU Diverse Sexuality and Gender Oral History Project as they share their experiences of finding love in Oklahoma and beyond. We'll also hear from Dr. Rachel Schmitz, a professor of sociology here at OSU who studies gender and sexuality and the LGBTQ+ community.
