Susan Winchester - House of Representatives 1998-2008
Susan Winchester was interviewed October 11, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Winchester was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1998 and served through 2008. She represented House District 47 and was a member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Winchester shares her memories of growing up on a farm and helping with the family aerial spraying business. She also discusses campaigning, the impact of term limits, legislation she sponsored such as the Abandoned Baby bill, and thoughts about running for and serving in an elected office.
