Judy Eason McIntyre - House of Representatives, 2003-2004 Senate, 2004-2012
Judy Eason McIntyre was interviewed November 19, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Ms. Eason McIntyre was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2003 and served through 2004 at which time she was elected to the Oklahoma Senate and served through 2012. She represented House District 73 and held the Senate District 11 seat. She is a member of the Democratic Party. Ms. Eason McIntyre shares her memories of growing up in a supportive family where education was stressed, life during segregation, and life during the civil rights movement. She further discusses how she became interested in politics and some of the issues close to her heart such as breast cancer and improving the quality of life in Oklahoma.
