Jeannie McDaniel was interviewed October 15, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Ms. McDaniel was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 2004 and is currently serving. She represents District 78 and is a member of the Democratic Party. Ms. McDaniel explains her strong family ties and shares her memories of relocating numerous times as a child and young adult. She also discusses how she came to the political arena, mentors along the way, and the importance of everyone’s vote.
