Helen Arnold - House of Representatives 1976-1982
Helen Arnold was interviewed January 9, 2008 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Mrs. Arnold was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1976 and served through 1982. She represented House District 71 and was a member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Arnold shares her memories of growing up in the Depression years and provides some family background. She also discusses term limits, the nurse midwife bill, and life after the legislature.
