Constance Johnson - Senate 2005-2014
Constance Johnson was interviewed November 9, 2007 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Ms. Johnson was elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2005 and is currently serving. She holds the Senate District 48 seat and is a member of the Democratic Party. Ms. Johnson shares memories of her youth including activities in high school as well as college accomplishments. She discusses her work prior to being elected to office which included twenty-four years as a staff person for the Oklahoma Senate and making the transition to legislator.
