Paul Miller Day

Whereas, Paul Miller (1906-1991) is a noted alumni of Oklahoma A&M College; and

Whereas, Miller went on to a distinguished journalism career and held leadership roles with both the Associated Press and Gannett Company, Inc.; and

Whereas, his wit and charm produced interesting and readable pieces that connected his readers to events and people around the world; and

Whereas, through his professional and personal relationships, Miller served as a first-hand witness to history, providing a chronicle to many of the most dramatic and world-changing events of the Second World War and Cold War eras as they developed; and

Whereas, Miller’s papers and photograph collections are housed in the OSU Library Archives and the public reference room of the Archives bear Paul Miller’s name;

…the OSU Library does hereby proclaim April 5, 2019, as “Paul Miller Day.”
