Update bookmarks for new Library Catalog

Jan. 18, 2024--The OSU Library Catalog has successfully migrated to a new platform. This shift will require some users to make small updates to maximize the catalog's performance.

Users of the "My Library Account" feature will need to update their bookmark. If you are accessing "My Library Account" from a bookmark created prior to the migration, you will no longer see the latest account information. To access your current account information:

  1. Go to our online catalog. If you see a page with the options to "Continue personalized" or "Skip for now," you will have click "Continue personalized" to be able to sign in.
  2. Use the "Sign in" option at the top right of the page.
  3. Click the "My Loans" button in the top right. This should show you your active loans.

If you are a user of Google Scholar, please be advised that the Library’s link to the service has changed. Until the old link is removed by our vendor, Google Scholar users will need to use the URL https://scholar.google.com/?inst=4764823514209768463 or update your individual Google Scholar settings.

To add the OSU Library in Google Scholar:

  1. Navigate to https://scholar.google.com/
  2. Click on the left side menu (three bars)
  3. Click on settings
  4. Click on Library links
  5. Search for Oklahoma State University - Stillwater
  6. Choose “Oklahoma State University – Stillwater – Full-Text @ OSU Library”
  7. Press the save button

Library Catalog shifts to new platform Dec. 15

Nov. 16, 2023--The OSU Library Catalog will shift to a platform called FOLIO. This change will occur sometime between the evening of Dec. 15 and the evening of Dec. 17. The new platform will operate similarly to our current catalog, but users may notice a few differences in the interface. Because the FOLIO platform is open source, the switch will result in huge savings over the next few years, and our developers will be able to build custom modifications for our installation.

If you have permalinks to catalog records or searches, you will need to update these after the migration. Note: this shift will not impact any direct links to online journals or databases, those will remain unchanged.

All patron records will also migrate to the new platform. If you have any questions about finding your loans, recalls or requests, please contact the Circulation Desk at lib-cir@okstate.edu. Training videos on searching, saving records, and accessing your account will be released in the spring.
