Appreciating art

February 2, 2023

New month, new 70 theme!

This month we are highlighting 70 art pieces on public display in the OSU Libraries.

Besides the three galleries housing rotating displays, there are many more art pieces spread throughout the library buildings on campus. Ranging from paintings and statues to more uncommon pieces. Having art displayed in the OSU Libraries fosters conversation, gives the spaces character and promotes community.

This month, as we spotlight art in the libraries, we are also accepting applications for the first Student Art Exhibition. We know art can inspire and motivate students, which is why we want to give OSU students the chance to have their art publicly displayed in the Edmon Low Library.

Applications for the Student Art Exhibition are open now until Feb. 15. Winners will have their art displayed in the library for a year and be awarded $500 to create their vision.
