author and instructional developer of "Pumping and Aerial Apparatus Driver/Operator Handbook Exam Prep," Third Edition

December 13, 2016

Beth Ann Fulgenzi has been an instructional developer at Fire Protection Publications since 2004. Prior to joining Fire Protection Publications she worked in business and government. Her work has included developing training materials for industry and Oklahoma CareerTech. Her work has also included writing federal and state proposals for businesses. She has an M.S. degree in mass communications from Oklahoma State University. While at Fire Protection Publications she has worked on a variety of manuals, and she greatly enjoys being a part of such an important organization. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for community organizations, spending time with her family, reading, enjoying her pets, and enjoying the outdoors.

"The Pumping Apparatus Driver/Operator Handbook," Third Edition covers pumping apparatus only, the second book in the pair, "Pumping and Aerial Apparatus Driver/Operator Handbook," Third Edition contains the same 15 chapters as the pumping apparatus textbook, plus an additional five chapters relevant to aerial apparatus. Personnel on departments that operate both types of apparatus now only need one manual and one curriculum for training. Students only need one exam prep to prepare for testing. If a fire department does not use aerial apparatus, they use the "Pumping Apparatus Driver/Operator Handbook," Third Edition and omit the aerial sections of the curriculum and exam prep, which include all 20 chapters.
