Jerry Rackley

author of "Marketing Analytics Roadmap: Methods, Metrics, and Tools"

Jerry Rackley began his marketing career at IBM and since then has held product management, marketing, and marketing communications roles in various startup, emerging, and established software companies. He is keenly interested in the culture of marketing and how companies create a competitive advantage through positioning and analytics. Currently, Rackley serves as an adjunct marketing faculty member in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University.

Just one in five marketing organizations have an effective analytics process in place. This book is for the other four marketing organizations, and it was born out of the author's experience with how marketing manages its performance, and how that performance is judged. Marketing has largely been an endeavor not driven by data but by instinct. For marketing to have a seat at the "big decisions table," it must collect and use data about how it is performing.
