author and photographer of "Benjamin Boo Paints"

November 4, 2015

Dawn Behrens lives in the magical windy kingdom of Stillwater, Oklahoma, with her two magnificent cats, Miss Tuxedo and Mister Whiskers, and many fun toys like Benjamin Boo about whom she writes children's story books. The Benjamin Boo book series now has four titles: "Benjamin Boo Real Super Hero;" "Benjamin Boo and the Cranky Crocodile;" "Benjamin Boo Plays Hide-and-Seek With You;" and "Benjamin Boo Paints." Behrens, also, has an eBook for adults titled I Peed My Pants for My Mom. Behrens has two daughters, two sons-in-law and three perfect grandchildren – just ask her, she'll tell you how perfect they are. She also happens to have a Bachelor of Science degree in English and a master's in Theatre. She has been a teacher, writer, actor and singer for many years. Behrens now works as a Senior Administrative Assistant Support in the Department of Art, Graphic Design & Art History.

Benjamin Boo wants to make a painting by himself, but his friends want to paint with him. In this little picture book, Benjamin Boo learns that each of his friends can add something special to the painting to make it really super. And painting together can be fun. This is the fourth book in the Benjamin Boo children's picture book series. The photograph story pages in the Benjamin Boo books recreate a child using imagination to play with toys and make up stories.
