ShareOK Team Wins Spirit Award

OSU Library collaborators recognized for service

July 16, 2014

OSU Library faculty members Nicole Sump-Crethar, Robin Leech and Library staff, Sean Fortney, were awarded the University of Oklahoma Libraries Collaborative Spirit Award this spring at an award ceremony in Norman. The team was recognized for their services as part of the ShareOK team.

ShareOK is a joint institutional repository for the University of Oklahoma Libraries and the Oklahoma State University Libraries. It serves as the home for the intellectual output of both communities, and will ultimately include digital dissertations, faculty publications, digital special collections, open access publications, open educational resources and much more.

"This project is exciting because it allows us to collaborate with Oklahoma University, which opens doors to continue cooperation in future projects," Sump-Crethar said. "I have enjoyed working closely with colleagues from another institution and look forward to continue serving the efforts of ShareOK."

Digital assets placed in the ShareOK repository are available to a global audience. OSU Libraries encourages all students, graduate students and faculty to submit their works to ShareOK to create a centralized repository for the research and scholarly work of Oklahoma State University.
