Library begins 24-hour access Sunday of Pre-Finals Week April 18, 2013 Story by Emily Nielsen, OSU Library Communications Intern For Immediate Release STILLWATER -The Library’s doors will open at 9 a.m. on April 21 and won’t be locked again until 8 p.m. on May 3. Students are welcome to spend as much time in the building as they need to prepare for finals throughout 24-hour access. “The Library’s extended hours provide students a quiet, comfortable place to study, day or night,” John DeGeorge, coordinator of Library security and facilities said. During the extended hours, the Library provides access to six floors of study space and reference materials, as well as making laptops, MacBooks and iPads available for round-the-clock check-out. Reserved study rooms, the reference desk and the reserve desk will only be open during the regular service hours, however. Café Libro’s closing time will be extended until 12:30 a.m. throughout the Library’s 24-hour access schedule. The 24-hour access tradition, which began more than 10 years ago, was launched by the Friends of the OSU Library.
