Celebrating Books by OSU Authors

July 16, 2015

STILLWATER -Months of hard work by OSU authors will be honored during Research Week 2013. “Celebrating Books by OSU Author” will be held from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in the Anne Morris Greenwood Reading Room. The OSU Library invites the public to meet and greet OSU authors to discuss their works and publication processes. Several honorees will have their works available for purchase. This year marks the 7th annual ”Celebrating Books by OSU Authors” event. Celebrating Books is an opportunity for the Library to honor OSU employees and students. These individuals have authored, co-authored or edited a book or published a major creative work such as musical composition, art exhibit catalog or audio recording in the past two years. “It’s exciting each year to see how diverse our authors are,” Sheila Johnson, Dean of Libraries, said. “A number of departments are represented, and there is always an incredibly wide range of genres.” “Celebrating Books” not only recognizes individuals and their achievements, but also inspires academic research and ensures that works by OSU authors are available to the University community by adding these pieces to the OSU Library collection. To include your work in this year's event, fill out the author form at http://www.library.okstate.edu/forms/authors.htm. For more information, contact Bonnie Cain-Wood at 405-744-7331 or at lib-pub@okstate.edu. Oklahoma State University is a modern land-grant university that prepares students for success.
