State's first female graduate receives national honor

The Daughters of the American Revolution have posthumously honored Jessie Thatcher Bost, OSU’s first alumna, with the “Women in American History Award.” The award was accepted by Beverly Golden, OSU alumna and Bost’s granddaughter.


IMLS Grant Supports Library Pandemic Reflections Project

The Oklahoma State University Library recently received a federal award for nearly $50,000 from the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ American Rescue Plan grant program. The grant will fund the Library’s oral history project titled “Impressions from the Pandemic: Oklahomans Reflect on COVID-19,” and was one of only five awards made to Oklahoma organizations out of the 390 total awards from this program.


Cowboy Chronicles: Professor’s SoundScriber recordings offer audio treasures

A faculty member’s purchase in 1947 would provide one of the first opportunities to preserve sounds and voices from the college. Thomas Edison developed the phonograph 70 years earlier, but adaptations for the general public had been slow to develop and recording capabilities at OAMC were extremely limited.


OSU Library project unveiled at White House Tribal Nations Summit

The Oklahoma State University Library is partnering with the United States Department of Agriculture and the Department of the Interior to create the "Tribal Treaties Database." The project was publicly announced Monday at the White House Tribal Nations Summit.
