GoPro cameras latest addition to Library's tech checkout

July 15, 2015

STILLWATER -The OSU Library has added video and studio-quality audio equipment to its growing technology checkout program. Room 105 is now home to four Hero 3+ Black Edition GoPros, four ZoomH2n recorders, two Canon VIXIA HFR400 HD camcorders, three Atlas Sound tabletop microphones and two camera tripods. OSU students, faculty and staff can check out the new equipment for a three-day period.

The GoPros will circulate with 31 pieces including an instruction manual and waterproof case. With the new equipment, students can record video and music for class projects, extracurricular activities and weekend adventures. OStateTV users can also produce and upload their own content to the University’s web video channel.

The VIXIA HF R400 is a compact and easy-to-use camera, ideal for point-and-shoot video capture.
GoPros can be checked out with optional accessory pack including an underwater camera housing.
The Zoom H2n features five built-in microphones that can be used separately or combined to create 2- or 4-channel surround sound.
