Mary Fallin - House of Representatives 1990-1994
Mary Fallin was interviewed October 7, 2008 as part of the Women of the Oklahoma Legislature Oral History Project. Ms. Fallin was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1990 and served through 1994 at which time she was elected Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma. She represented House District 85 and was a member of the Republican Party. Ms. Fallin shares memories of growing up in Tecumseh and with parents involved in the political arena of the town. She also talks about her own campaigns while having a young family. She also discusses running for lieutenant governor as well as some of the legislation she has supported such as Workmen’s Compensation Reform and Right to Work.
