February 6, 2023

Born and raised near the Ripley and Cushing area here in Oklahoma, Rhiannon continues to live in rural Oklahoma with her fiancé and her two mini Australian Shepherds. Rhiannon is a mental health counselor by day, writer by night. At the age of 18, Rhiannon began working at OSU as secretary in the Horticulture and Landscape Architecture department and stayed in that position for 15 years before becoming a full time student at OSU to become a counselor. Rhiannon returned to OSU in 2021 when she accepted a position with University Counseling Services as a Clinical Counselor. Writing was always one of Rhiannon's passions from a young age and it was her dream to become a published author as she was growing up. A love of nature was instilled in her by her parents and grandparents. She and her brother had many adventures exploring the countryside and this inspired Rhiannon's stories. Rhiannon also grew up with a love of Fantasy and Science Fiction with favorite authors including Ray Bradbury, Piers Anthony, J.R.R. Tolkien, Arthur C. Clarke, and Isaac Asimov.

After Jacy's home is destroyed by an army of creatures known as Grunks and one of her three brothers is brutally murdered, she sets out for the castle in her native kingdom of Quantra to find answers and justice. Her younger brother, Zane, follows in an attempt to protect his big sister, but Jacy is determined to do whatever necessary to save her kingdom. She is driven by a desire to follow in her father's footsteps as a soldier of Quantra and disregards the traditional gender roles that prevail in her world. Along the way, she forges new friendships that serve to strengthen her resolve to help her troubled kingdom. She comes to realize that a dark prophecy encompasses her journey and she must face a shattering truth to save her kingdom.
