Perry Gethner

Perry Gethner is a Regents Professor at Oklahoma State University (OSU). His research focuses on early modern French drama, much of it consisting of critical editions and translations. Gethner has worked mainly on French female playwrights, religious drama, baroque drama (including spectacle and hybrid plays) and the early opera libretto.
Gethner was active in the application process for a Phi Beta Kappa chapter at OSU, finally approved in 2012, and served as first chapter president for the past 7 years.
