Kathy Essmiller
Author of 'Learning Through Play' in "Educational Technology Beyond Content"

Dr. Kathy Essmiller is an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice and Open Educational Resources Librarian at Oklahoma State University. Kathy holds a Master of Music in trumpet performance, a Master of Science in educational technology and a PhD in Learning, Design and Technology. She was a 2019 -2020 Open Education Group (OER) Research Fellow and is currently part of the design team for the Association of College and Research Libraries OER Roadshow. Kathy’s background is in music education, where she enjoyed over fifteen fantastic years making music with middle school and high school band students.
