Gabriela Toomer
Co-Author of "Long Non-coding RNAs Diversity in Form and Function: From Microbes to Humans"

Gabriela Toomer is a passionate Virologist. She has a DVM with a Masters and Ph.D. in Molecular Biology with 11 years of experience in interdisciplinary research work including RNA biology, transcriptomics, iRNA, RNA modifications, DNA engineering, viral evolution, and viral-insect vector transmissions and structure and function of viral long non-coding RNAs and its interactions with other molecules. Toomer joined the lab of Dr. Clinton Jones in 2020 as a postdoctoral fellow to study stress-induced HSV-1 reactivation from latency at OSU.
Toomer believes science is remodeling our society and becoming the strongest probe that we can create a happier and healthier hate-free society.
