Ziad El Rassi

Editor of "Affinity Chromatography and Related Techniques"

Dr. Ziad El Rassi earned a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1972 and an education degree in 1973 from Lebanese University. He matriculated to Claude-Bernard University in Lyon, France for his doctorate in analytical chemistry in 1978. He then joined the Chemical Engineering Department at Yale University as an associate research scientist in 1980 and then a research scientist in 1985. He accepted an assistant professorship with Oklahoma State University in 1988. He continued his stint at OSU as a full professor in 1998 before earning the title of regents professor, the most prestigious rank attainable by OSU faculty, in 2013. El Rassi’s research is focused on methods development in HPLC, CE and CEC. He has published over 220 papers, been invited to over 175 lectures and edited two books. He has received the Sigma Xi Lectureship Award in 2204, Regents Distinguished Research Award in 2005, Oklahoma Scientist of the Year Award in 2006 and Oklahoma Chemist of the Year Award in 2007. In the past two years, Dr. El Rassi has been acting editor-in-cheif of "Electrophoresis" and co-author of several special issues in the "International Journal Electrophoresis."
