Paul Beck
Chapter Author of "Management Strategies for Sustainable Cattle Production in Southern Pastures"

Dr. Beck received both a bachelor's degree in animal science with an emphasis on business and an master's degree in animal science from Oklahoma State University. While employed at the University of Arkansas Southwest Research & Extension Center (SWREC), Paul completed his doctorate at the UofA in 2003. He joined the faculty of the UofA SWREC in 2004. Paul received his Master of Business Administration with an agricultural economics emphasis from Southern Arkansas University in 2017. Paul moved to the Oklahoma State University Department of Animal and Food Sciences in August 2018 and is currently the state extension beef cattle specialist stocker-feedlot nutrition, and the Dennis and Marta White Endowed Chair. Paul received the University of Arkansas John White Outstanding Research Award, the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association Producer Education Award, the American Society of Animal Science Animal Management Award and the American Forage and Grassland Council Merit Award.
