Heather McLaughlin
Editor of "Engaging Helen Hacker: Collected Works and Reflections of a Feminist Pioneer"

Heather McLaughlin is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology. She joined Oklahoma State University after earning her doctorate from the University of Minnesota in 2013. Dr. McLaughlin studies gender inequality in three institutional contexts: work, law and sport. Her research on the precursors and consequences of sexual harassment has appeared in academic journals such as American Sociological Review, Gender & Society, Harvard Business Review and Law & Society Review. She is also a strong proponent of public sociology and has shared her expertise with numerous print, television, radio and online media, including The New York Times, Slate, The New Yorker, Huffington Post, FiveThirtyEight, KOCO Morning News and NPR’s Marketplace.
