Chyla Rucker is an instructional developer for Fire Protection Publications. Chyla has a background in higher education, trade education and journalism. She has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and a master’s in urban education both from Langston University. Her experience includes many years working in PR and print journalism. She has also spent time in the classroom teaching office administration trade skills to nontraditional learners and moonlights as a freelance graphic designer.  Chyla is a proud native of Guthrie, OK. When not working she enjoys spending quality time with her daughter Chloe and with her family. She also enjoys cooking, shopping, traveling and church activities. Chyla enjoys writing curriculum development and is happy to work in a profession that she finds exciting and rewarding.
