Tom Spector
author and co-author of "How Architects Write, 2nd Edition"
January 8, 2018
Tom Spector has been a professor at the School of Architecture since 2001 where he teaches the architectural management course sequence, comprehensive design studio and design ethics. How Architects Write is his third book. It follows The Ethical Architect and The Guide to the Architecture of Georgia. Tom received his doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Life Fellow at Clare Hall, Cambridge University.
How Architects Write encompasses all the major writing contexts facing architecture students and practitioners alike. It combines concepts for good writing within the discipline with sentence-level practical advice. The Second Edition features new segments on writing for one's online presence, responding to proposal requests as well as much expanded segments on thesis writing, history writing and personal essays.
