Gregory Samuel II

Gregory Deon Samuel II, born and raised in Oklahoma City on Jan. 2, 1999, is a man with unquenching, unattainable potential. In high school, he presided as founder and president of the first Black Student Association. He was also heavily involved in speech and debate. Most notably, he was named Regional Champion of the Cross Examination Debate in 2015. He was involved in organizations in high school. During Mr. Samuel’s freshman year, he was given a book deal that has sustained his four years in high school having released three books and gaining an international audience. From California to across the seas in Sweden, individuals have marveled at the literal work and excellence displayed in the content of the book and most notably his third released titled “In Black In White” which highlights against race relations and racism has gotten overwhelming responses from the rich, influential, politicians and citizens alike. He attends The Oklahoma State University where he is studying Political Science with a minor in Business and he not only aspires but believes that he will be the most influential political figure of the 21st century before he passes. "In Black In White" is a gripping collaboration which highlights the issues of race relations within the United States by two young adults. This book completely showcases the perspectives of these events from a black male and a white female using poetry as the mode to deliver it.
