Clint Parker joined Fire Protection Publications in 2003 as a senior graphic designer. In 1999, he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts. He has done the design for more than 50 fire service training manuals, including “Essentials of Fire Fighting” and “Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting. In addition to graphic design, he has also done photography for IFSTA conferences since 2011. In his free time, he enjoys photography, traveling, live music and spending time at home with his wife, Becky, and their three dogs.

"Hazardous Materials Technician" is intended to help firefighters and first responders train to meet the job performance requirements of the National Fire Protection Association's standard 1072. The textbook provides the information and skills needed to become Technician Level hazardous materials responders, the most highly skilled professionals at hazardous materials incidents. The book includes advanced skills for responding to hazardous materials incidents and information on the chemistry and dangers of hazardous materials.

This edition of "Principles of Vehicle Extrication" is intended to help firefighters and first responders train to meet the job performance requirements of the National Fire Protection Association's standard 1006. The textbook provides the information and skills needed to become an Awareness, Operations, or Technician level rescue responder for vehicle incidents. The book includes knowledge and skills for stabilizing vehicles, cutting vehicles apart to access victims, and packaging victims for transport to medical facilities. The book addresses both passenger vehicles and heavy vehicles such as city buses and semis.
