OSU Libraries is hosting another one-of-a-kind unCOILed workshop on the current digital landscape — discussing post-pandemic trends, generative AI and the new shift students and faculty are experiencing within the ever-changing digital ecosystem. unCOILed is organized through the Community of Oklahoma Instruction Librarians (COIL), a subgroup organization in the Oklahoma Chapter of Association of College and Research Libraries. 

“One and (Not) Done: Ideas and Strategies for Moving Beyond the One-Shot” will share new approaches librarians are developing to teach digital literacy to students, patrons and faculty. Attendees can expect to learn more about faculty partnership, academic success, creating short-form tutorial videos and more.  

“We're in the early days of understanding and implementing AI literacy instruction,” said Chris Rosser, COIL chair and first-year and transfer-experience librarian. “Opportunities like unCOILed let us share what we're doing as well as provide space to learn from others. That is key to building what comes next. This event provides a space to imagine possibilities, hone the craft of research instruction and discern together how AI might be incorporated.” 

The event will take place July 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room. Attendance is free and open to the public. To register, visit here.
