Security Student Assistant - Edmon Low Library
The OSU Library has an opening for a Security Student Assistant. The student assistant works in conjunction with the Security Coordinator.
Available hours:
• Tuesdays & Thursdays 10:30pm-12:45am
• Fridays 10am-1pm
• Saturdays 8:45am-1pm
**Must be able to work most of the available hours to be considered.
What You'll Do
- The security assistant is responsible for the security of the building, interpreting library policy for patrons and staff, opening and closing the building, and patrolling the building to ensure patrons comply with the library’s rules of conduct and that the building meets all safety and fire codes.
- Security will also handle emergencies, including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and safety issues.
- The security assistant will monitor patrons entering and exiting the building.
- The security assistant will be required to attend various meetings and training sessions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have completed at least two full semesters at OSU Stillwater.
- Must work a minimum of 8 hours per week of the available shifts.
- Must refrain from using electronic devices while on duty.
- Must be responsible and show integrity.
- Must be able to work some nights and weekend hours.
MUST BE ENROLLED AT OSU. Work Study encouraged.
