The Veterinary Medicine Library is named in honor of Dr. William E. Brock, a distinguished veterinary parasitologist, researcher, and longtime member of the Oklahoma State University faculty. A native of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Dr. Brock’s career spanned clinical practice, international service, and groundbreaking research on anaplasmosis, hemophilia, and other parasitic diseases. He served OSU in numerous leadership roles, including as dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine. The library was named for Dr. Brock in 1980 as a tribute to his scholarship and impact on the veterinary profession.

The Brock Veterinary Medicine Library supports students, researchers, clinicians, and faculty with specialized collections in veterinary science and more. The library provides access to journals, textbooks, electronic resources, and study spaces designed to advance teaching, learning, and clinical practice.
