About the Collection

The Daily O’Collegian Archives provide digital access to Oklahoma State University’s student newspaper, offering a searchable record of campus life dating back to 1895. The archive includes all known issues from 1895 to 2008 and allows users to search by keyword, date, or year. Individual issues and articles can be viewed, printed, downloaded, or shared.

The digitization effort began in 2009 when Ray Catalino, then general manager of the O’Colly, approached the OSU Library about creating a permanent online repository for the newspaper. With financial support from The Daily O’Collegian and the Friends of the OSU Library, the Library acquired the microfilm reels that became the basis for the archive. The resulting collection preserves more than a century of OSU reporting and provides a valuable primary source for understanding the University’s academic, social, and cultural history.
