About the Collection

The Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service collection includes fact sheets, newsletters, circulars, and other publications created by Extension units within OSU’s Ferguson College of Agriculture. As one of the OSU Library’s most extensive collections, it reflects the long-running work of sharing research-based information with communities across Oklahoma.

The materials document how the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service have supported Oklahomans from the early years of the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (OAMC) through the development of Oklahoma State University. Over time, these programs expanded their efforts in applied research, outreach, and practical instruction, offering guidance on topics such as crop production, livestock management, home economics, natural resources, and community development.
