Outstanding Employee Awards
Nomination letters for 2025 may be sent to libdean@okstate.edu, between the reopening date (Feb. 1, 2025) and the closing date (March 3, 2025) at 5 p.m. For questions regarding any Outstanding Library Employee Awards, contact Jessica Cottom.

Library Faculty Award for Notable Achievement
This award recognizes notable achievement and sustained scholarship or service to the Library, University or Profession. Those nominated must be in a faculty appointment (visiting, research, tenure-track, or otherwise) and have completed at least two years of service at OSU. Self-nominations are allowed.
Nominations of no more than 1,500 words are submitted to the Dean who will determine the winner in consultation with the Library Executive Committee. Nomination should include the nominee's name, department, start date, and the nomination. Nomination must be signed by employee making nomination. Only Library employees may nominate.
Recipients receive a cash award of $1,500, are invited to an awards lunch and are honored at the Edmon Low Library Staff Association's Spring Meeting. An honorable mention award of $500 will be presented as well.
Award winners can be nominated again after three years. Example: (Year 1) Winner; (Year 2) No Nomination; (Year 3) No Nomination; (Year 4) Nomination. Associate deans are not eligible for consideration but may make nominations. Awards are subject to change based on funding. Past recipients include:

Outstanding Library Staff Award
This award recognizes outstanding contributions to the Library. Those nominated must be library staff members who have completed at least two years of full-time employment in the Library. Any full time library employee (except the Dean) may make a nomination. Self-nominations are allowed.

Outstanding Employee Award
The Outstanding Employee Award was presented annually to an employee of the Edmon Low Library who best exemplifies the standard of excellence at Oklahoma State University. The award was replaced in 2008 by the Library Faculty Award for Notable Achievement and the Outstanding Library Staff Award. Past recipients include:
