Creative Studios

The Edmon Low Creative Studios is dedicated to providing access to emerging technology and digital devices for OSU students and faculty. Popular features of the Studios include Tech-to-Go with cameras, tripods, lights, microphones, telescopes and more; 3D printers and scanners; audio recording equipment; presentation and recording space with green screen; flight simulator; and Virtual Reality suites. By making this technology available to every student regardless of major, faculty are empowered to design dynamic, AV course assignments and students can gain a comfort and proficiency with the technology their will need to use in a variety of industries.

Open Educational Resources Initiative

In response to the impact of high-cost commercial textbooks, the OSU Libraries created the OpenOKState Open Educational Resources program. The program takes a multi-pronged approach to combatting textbook costs on our campus. Through training, support, incentives and outreach, OSU has seen more than 50 courses across six colleges commit to using OER rather than requiring students to purchase course materials. Students on OSU’s campus have saved more than $1.6 million thanks to OER adoption.

Internships

Internships help make the work our students do to be a meaningful part of their college experience. These positions offer students the chance to put their academic work into a real-life professional context, build portfolios and gain relevant experience in their field of study.
